Taking place over two days, April 12–13, 2025, the Aikya Cross Country Marathon Trà Vinh promises to be an emotionally rich and multi-experience race, poised to become a symbolic sporting event of Trà Vinh Province.
The Aikya Cross Country Marathon Trà Vinh is a race founded and organized for the first time by Aikya Pharmaceutical Joint Stock Company, set to be held on April 12–13, 2025, at Phạm Ngũ Lão Park, Trà Vinh City. The event is expected to attract 3,000 runners, offering four race distances: 5km, 10km, 21km, and 42km. Early registration will open on January 18, 2025.
Located at the southern end of the Mekong Delta, Trà Vinh is a land of poetic riverside landscapes and distinctive culinary culture that leaves a lasting impression on all who visit. With over 10,000 ancient trees, the city wears a lush green “cloak,” with canopies that offer refreshing shade. The cross-country course will lead runners through scenic roads lined with centuries-old trees and historically significant landmarks such as:
- Ao Bà Om – a legendary lake steeped in folklore
- Ang Pagoda – a sacred Khmer spiritual site with unique architecture
Morning weather in Trà Vinh is typically cool and the air is exceptionally clean, with little traffic—ideal conditions for runners aiming to set personal records (PRs).
What makes this race even more special is its timing—it coincides with Chôl Chnăm Thmây, the Khmer community’s most important New Year celebration. This offers runners not only the chance to conquer the course but also to immerse themselves in traditional rituals, soak up the vibrant festive atmosphere, and experience authentic, flavorful local cuisine.
Through the Aikya Cross Country Marathon 2025, Aikya aims to promote the image of Trà Vinh as a lush green land rich in multicultural heritage, while also encouraging a strong spirit of physical fitness and healthy living within the community.
